I cannot recommend Miah enough as a wellness coach! Healthy habits were something I always struggled to achieve. I was never in very good shape. I worked a very sedentary job. I ate out a lot. I also had an enormous sweet-tooth. I would visit the vending machine multiple times in any given workday. I couldn’t go more than a single day without consuming some form of overly processed sugar. I knew I had a problem, but I was also very frustrated with myself. Over the years I had tried joining multiple online groups, reading several books on healthy living, and tried following multiple highly rated “get healthy” plans. No matter how hard I tried, I could never manage to completely sustain any of these practices for longer than a couple of months. I finally made the decision to try seeking a wellness coach after I visited the doctor one day for an annual checkup. My doctor told me that I had unusually elevated LDL cholesterol levels for someone in their twenties. She warned me to start exercising more and clean up my diet else I would run into much larger health problems later on in my life. One week later I signed up for Miah’s six month program.

 I could not be more grateful for deciding to take the chance to work with Miah. She is very caring and thoughtful, as well as a great listener. She was instrumental in helping me develop manageable milestones in incorporating healthy habits into my routine. Through her coaching and advice, I slowly started eating out less often and cooking more at home. Then I started preparing healthier meals and incorporating more fruits and vegetables in my diet. I also started exercising more frequently. Processed sugar was slowly phased out of my diet. None of this happened overnight, and Miah was really helpful in providing encouragement and support during the inevitable setbacks during the entire process. Her mantra, “Progress not perfection,” was a mind-blowing statement that completely changed my outlook not only on healthy living, but life in general. I have always had a very “all-or-nothing” mentality. For the first time in my life, I felt like I had finally found balance in myself.

By the end of the program, I was cooking healthy meals nearly every single day. I also exercised a lot, and I enjoyed it! I still work at a sedentary job, but I have become a much more active person in general. I am also no longer dependent on sugar. While I might indulge in it every now and again, I no longer constantly get cravings all the time. I also recently visited the doctor again. She reported that my cholesterol levels have greatly improved from six months prior. I feel like the results speak for themselves. They completely blew away any of my original expectations. I could not have had a better wellness coaching experience. Thank you so much, Miah!!!!

Miah's six week course in Intuitive Eating opened up my mind to a simple, yet powerful way of relating to eating, as well as understanding body imaging. The course is an inspiration to anyone that has struggled with dieting or emotional eating patterns. 


Miah brings to the subject a fresh approach with regard to eating. She is a wealth of information and her background in nutrition adds greater depth and value to the course. I had no expectations when I signed up for the class, but I was drawn to the title, Ditch the Diet. Sounded good to me and I was curious about the content.


Each week I came away feeling really inspired and enlightened by the material that Miah delivered so effectively. She is fully aware of the traps that many of us have fallen into when it comes to eating and body perception. Miah begins this journey with you, adding her own experience and understanding.  She creates a perfectly safe atmosphere for relating. 

The course has provided me with new awarenesses and personal goals that I can actually feel comfortable with that are not "diet" focused and don't subscribe to any culturally defined body image. 


If you want to learn to appreciate eating without negative thinking, and you're open to trusting your intuitive self, I would highly recommend this course! Miah as a facilitator and nutritionist is not only extremely competent in her field but exudes the confidence and passion you would hope to find in a health practitioner.

Ditch the Diet was the best money I've ever spent on a "diet".


I always thought something was wrong with me because I'm not following any certain plan, counting calories or depraving myself of fruit. I'm a total foodie and love kale and cupcakes equally and feel there is room for both in my life.  


The biggest tangible change I have noticed since beginning the program has been letting go of the guilt and allowing myself to eat food that's nourishing to my body and letting go of the notion that food is either "good" or bad".


Ditch the Diet completely lived up to its promise to: make peace with food, listen to your body, and rediscover the pleasure of eating.
